Forgotten Promise
Leaving, the last thing we talked about.
A new path followed an old one left, a heart torn in two,
side by side I wished to walk
hand in hand with you.
So hard it was, to look ahead, to see a future new.
when knowing I was leaving all I had, and all I wanted was you.
so I gave a promise, an oath, I swore that I would return,
on heaven and earth I said I would,
I have and things are not as they should be
and I know in part I was to blame,
for being me, who I am, its hard to change
all I want is you, that is all I know.
I wait and wait for the day to come
the day where everything works out right,
and sooner or later a promise forgotten, will be remembered anew,
given a chance to change the time I have now and create something bright.

First thing i have written in a very long time so its not as good as i would like but with the way things are going ill be writing more and more so should start to get back into the swing of it, anyways just something different
