A cold winters day, a soft summer sky
The happiest of moments, to ever pass me by
to watch and see, to speak and learn
to wonder and wait, to love and yearn

You're everywhere I look, everywhere I go
you're in my mind, heart, and soul
and watching over you, I am happy to say

You're the light in a dark place
though you disagree so
you're a wonder, I've said before
and I think you should know.

You're my world, and I wish it was so
that it remains as such, and I really need to say
you're that soft breath of cold air,
a whisper of gentle words,
a loving embrace,

You are the first thought I have when I wake
and the last when I fall to sleep
and every time I realize,
just what it is

To forever more know,
that if we should never speak again,
hold hands under the starry sky,
comfort and warm each other
on a sad frozen night

I will live eternally,
and with the joy of knowing
that the pain I feel,
is that of a broken heart

For my love, you taught me many things
and one of them is simply
I am human, I do have a heart
and fragile it is, with steel I thought it was

So please, I ask of you,
should we part ways
seek different skies
remember that one dark frosty cold night
where I gave you my heart, damage and torn
forever more to you.
